Our Approach
Counselors with Illuminate will help you understand the impact of relationships and development on your child's current functioning and behaviors. We will work individually with your child, parent and child together, or parents to identify new strategies for communication, nurture, coping, processing, and soothing. Your family will thrive with new skills and a new understanding of one another as whole, lovable, unique individuals within a beautiful family ecosystem.
The Illuminators
Lauren Boland, LCSW
With Lauren, your teen will experience a caring adult who takes them seriously, but finds plenty of time for play. Lauren taps into your teens' mind-body wisdom, encourages healthy relationships, and guides the learning of emotion regulation and resilience building. Lauren currently focuses her work with teens age 16 and up.
Becky Johnston, LCSW
Becky's approach with teens is playful, curious, and deeply sensitive. Becky encourages self exploration and growth through trauma-informed CBT, healthy relationship and coping skills development, and self empowerment as your child moves into independence. Becky currently focuses her work with teens age 16 and up.
Ellerey Jorgensen, LCPC
When Ellie works with kids children, she prioritizes parents' understanding meaning of behavior and feelings while elevating healing relational patterns and trauma. Ellie leans into play, mindfulness and attachment strategies to invite healthier functioning. Ellie currently focuses her work with children ages 4-12.
